This manga is older than me but it hasn't end yet, I heard that it is a good manga but the hiatus is killing the fans, yet the fans still waiting for the return patiently. I tried to look into the Berserk and honestly, I don't like the art. I've heard of Berserk since I was a kid and heard it again when I read the comment section from Ubel blatt, the comments there tend to compare it with Berserk. ALL AROUND BERSERK IS GRAD A TRASH -10/10 FOR SURE Beserk is the type of seires that appeals to people who havent experience anything outside of surface trash like naruto or seaseme street episodes and think there smart in endearing for appreciating an over hyped piece of trash like this. And I'd have zero problem with that if people didnt suck him of so much like he's some messiah character when is basic and generic af lmao. Not to mention he's just a typical cliche driven by greed and power so he turns to an evil force to invoke his "righteous" ideal character. Then you got griffith who is genuinely one of the worst characters I've ever seen he does literally nothing most of the story except in the golden age and again the story dosent progress until he makes his move WHICH IS NEVER. And why does my girl casca KEEP getting raped lmao Ik its a dark fantasy and I enjoy rape as much as the next guy but then she becomes pregnant with a demon baby and dosent wanna kill it😕 LMAO what a stupid character.

People like to praise Guts cause he's a tragic character(which is an archetype that has been done to death like MANY archetypes} and that he's soooooo unique when he's literally just taking cues from his former in kenshiro of hokuto no ken Yet nowhere as realistic or complex as ken. Not to mention this series HEAVILY ripsoff fist of the northstar and devilman. The only reason people really give this manga the time of the day is because of the "detailed artwork" and lets be honest the arc is generic lovecraftian inspired art that dosent stand out from the thousands of other dark fantasy detailed comic books. Just a played out mediocre trash that should've ended along time ago. Than story barely goes anywhere in the later arcs just guts meeting new allies slashing monsters with surface level themes about friendship and self healing rinse and repeat, typical 60s battle shonen cliches that appeals to effeminate men and women. The only decent part was the golden age arc and that dragged on forever. Read this manga long ago and never understand the hype now you got casuals and shonentards pretending like that got good taste cause they like berserk.
